by | Apr 23, 2024 | NEWS

A group of technical high school students from Cyprus visited our mechanical workshop in Piraeus. The visit was organized by the "Industrial Park of Schisto" management.

In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, it’s more crucial than ever to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, especially in the realm of technical education. By giving students hands-on experiences, they acquire a deeper understanding of the different industries they can work in the future, by expanding their horizons. Thus, initiatives like this are crucial in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world experience. The significance of such experiences cannot be overstated.

Recently, a group of technical high school students from Cyprus had the opportunity to explore the inner workings of INJEGOV’s mechanical workshop in Piraeus. Organized by the “Industrial Park of Schisto” management, this visit aimed to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application for the students.

During the visit, students witnessed firsthand the various stages of mechanical engineering. Guided by our Technical Manager, Panagiotis Giantsis, they witnessed various activities and learned about the technical skills required in our sector. The experience also sparked introspection and career exploration among the students. Witnessing the workshop’s diverse projects, from power generation to maritime machinery among others, inspired them to envision their potential impact in the field of mechanical engineering.

Beyond technical learning, the visit fostered cultural exchange and friendship among students. Bonds were formed, and perspectives broadened, transcending geographical boundaries.

As the students departed, they carried with them newfound knowledge and inspiration. Initiatives like these are crucial in shaping the future of technical education, empowering students to become the innovators of tomorrow.

In conclusion, the Cyprus high school visit to INJEGOV’s mechanical workshop exemplifies the importance of connecting classroom learning with real-world engineering. Such experiences lay the foundation for a future brimming with endless possibilities.
