Connecting Rods
Connecting rods develop cracks on the serration or excessive ovality due to the mechanical forces they withstand. These mechanical forces affect the bearing and the crankshaft lubrication.
Connecting rod repair works we perform at Injegov:
- Serrations Dye Check to detect cracks
- Small end bearing calibration
- Straightness check
- Connecting rod tightening and calibration of big end-bearing ovality
In case ovality is above maximum limits, we recondition connecting rod by serration machining, and then we proceed to connect rod caps tightening and boring of big end housing to create a perfect circle.
Note we can supply from our stock all related connecting rod parts like bushes, bolts, and nuts, bearings but also complete new or reconditioned connecting rods on a direct sale or exchange basis
Although not common, we have significant experience reconditioning 2-stroke engine connecting rods.
