Exhaust Valve Spindle and Seats
Exhaust valves and seats are operating under extreme pressures and temperatures.
It is natural that despite the special alloys used, mating surfaces are worn resulting in blow-by of exhaust gases, while on the bottom side of the spindle surface thermal cracks are developed.
At Injegov, we can recondition all types of valve spindles including Nimonic, DuraSpindle, and Stellite.
After inspection using original inspection gauges, dimensional calibration, and dye check, if minor defects are observed we proceed to spindle grinding.
In case of significant defects noticed, the following reconditioning procedure is applied for exhaust valve spindles:
- Spindles inspection and welding/repair procedure is determined
- Worn layers are machined off
- Complete top and bottom areas are rebuilt with Stellite or NIMONIC according to OEM specification in our automatic MIG/TIG welding unit, as well as using our laser cladding machine
- Final machining to OEM dimensions
- If required, chrome plating and grinding of spindle stem
- After completion of repairs, final measurements are taken using precision instruments and OEM gauges, and a report for the client is produced

Similarly, we perform reconditioning of exhaust valve seat straight or w type.
