Geislinger Damper
The Geislinger Damper is a tuned torsional vibration damper. The steel springs optimize the natural frequency of a system to reduce most of the critical resonances significantly. The tailor-made Geislinger Damper is specifically designed for applications where high performance, the most compact design, and low cost of ownership are requested. It provides constant stiffness and high damping throughout its service life. The Geislinger Damper is often used with a Geislinger Monitoring System, enabling an early detection of critical loads. The torsional vibration steel spring damper allows for the lowest life-cycle cost (LCC).
It reliably protects engine crankshafts, camshafts, and intermediate or propeller shafts in all kinds of powertrain applications. By influencing the critical frequency and reducing the torsional amplitudes significantly, the Geislinger Damper can also help to avoid a barred speed range. As modern engines tend to create more than one critical frequency, Geislinger has developed compact dual damper solutions and combinations of a Geislinger Damper and a Geislinger VDAMP®. This design flexibility guarantees the best solution for every type of engine and powertrain.
