INJEGOV SA Announces New Mechanical Workshop in Shanghai, China
INJEGOV SA proudly announces the opening of its new Mechanical Workshop in Shanghai, China, further strengthening its global footprint and technical support capabilities for maritime customers worldwide. This new facility marks INJEGOV’s third strategic location, complementing its established operations in Piraeus, Greece and Tuzla, Istanbul, Turkey.
With Shanghai recognized as one of the most dynamic maritime hubs in Asia, the new workshop is positioned to support vessels operating across major industrial areas and port zones in the wider Shanghai region. This expansion enables INJEGOV to deliver faster response times, improved availability of engineers, and enhanced access to specialized services.
INJEGOV technical capabilities — Expertize beyond mechanical repairs
The Shanghai Mechanical Workshop will support a wide range of services, including:
- mechanical repairs and overhauls
- engine component maintenance
- governor and control system services
- troubleshooting and technical inspections
- calibration and consultancy support
While INJEGOV has long been recognized for its expertise in governor services, the new facility also strengthens the company’s capability to support spare parts supply for critical engine and auxiliary equipment.
The new Mechanical Workshop in Shanghai occupies a 1,500 sqm facility, designed to accommodate heavy-duty mechanical work, engine components, precision tools, testing areas, and organized spare parts storage. The layout supports efficient workflows, safe handling of equipment, and faster turnaround times for vessels operating in the wider Shanghai region.
This allows customers to benefit from an integrated approach: technical service, repair solutions, and reliable spare parts sourcing — all coordinated through one long trusted partner.
Stronger support for vessels operating in Asia
“Establishing our presence in Shanghai is a natural step in INJEGOV’s growth strategy. It allows us to support our clients more closely, offer flexible solutions, and ensure continuity of service across key ship repair areas. With this workshop, we combine technical expertise, mechanical capability, and spare parts availability to minimize downtime and increase reliability.”
“Our goal has always been to build long-term partnerships. By investing in Shanghai, we strengthen our global network and ensure that our customers can receive top quality — whether they are calling in Europe or in Asia. This location gives us the opportunity to respond faster, coordinate more efficiently, and expand our service portfolio.”
Part of a long-term expansion strategy
The new workshop will operate fully aligned with INJEGOV SA’s procedures, safety standards, and quality assurance systems, ensuring consistency across all locations.
With three operational hubs — Piraeus, Tuzla, and now Shanghai — INJEGOV continues to evolve as a trusted partner to shipowners, ship managers, and technical departments seeking reliable mechanical services and spare parts support.
