Cylinder Heads
Refurbishment:
During the refurbishment, the cylinder heads were inspected for wear, and a spark plug sleeve leak was identified, which required immediate replacement.
Parts Replaced:
We replaced the head gaskets, tappets, and rotocaps. Moreover, we took additional steps to replace these parts to prevent further damage.
Corrosion Control:
Upon inspection, 8 out of 20 thrust rings showed signs of pitting corrosion. This corrosion likely occurred due to chemical reactions and improper maintenance of lubricants and coolants. Therefore, these were replaced to ensure smooth engine operation.
